Welcome! We are so glad that you are interested in competing for our $1M ALS Treatment Prize4Life!
Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease) urgently need therapeutic candidates capable of increasing their survival time. Prize4Life is looking for novel treatments that have been shown to be effective in ALS mouse models, an important preclinical validation step prior to initiation/consideration of human clinical trials and a critical hurdle for potential therapies.
The $1M ALS Treatment Prize4Life challenge aims to encourage the identification of therapies that have been experimentally validated in the hSOD1 G93A C57BL6/SJL (Gurney) background (high copy number) mouse model. To be eligible to win The $1M ALS Treatment Prize4Life, a proposed therapy must meet the criteria outlined in the $1M ALS Treatment Prize4Life criteria. One million USD will be awarded for an experimentally validated ALS therapy showing significant efficacy in the disease mouse model.
Interim Report Deadline: December 6, 2013
Final Submission Deadline (if prize is not awarded prior): June 6, 2015
Rolling submissions for the prize will be accepted until the close of the prize.
